What is the I Ching and what do the hexagrams say?
The I Ching is China's «Book of Changes»: six lines give one of 64 hexagrams for your question.
The Book of Changes
The I Ching is one of China's oldest texts and rests on two forces, yin and yang. Each hexagram is built from six lines, each either broken (yin) or solid (yang); there are 64 hexagrams in all.
Throwing the coins
The classic way is three coins thrown six times, each throw making one line. On the site and in the app you write your question and press the button, and the throws are made for you.
Changing lines
Sometimes a line is «changing» and a second hexagram appears. The first is your situation now and the second is where it is heading. Read the two together.
