What are rune readings? The meaning of the runes
Runes are old signs from northern Europe; each has a name and a meaning, and drawing them answers a question.
Where the runes come from
The runes are the old alphabet of the Germanic and Scandinavian peoples. The best-known set has 24 signs, and each is both a letter and an idea, such as wealth, passage or protection.
Drawing a rune
One rune is for a short answer, several for seeing past, present and future. A rune that falls reversed means something else, and its text is read separately.
How to read them
Runes invite thought; they do not pass sentence. Read the rune's name, weigh its meaning against your question and see which part fits your life.
